Position summary  

The Chief Commercial Officer is a leadership role within the Promethiem executive team. The position has many touch points both with internal teams and stakeholders and  externally with customers and distribution partners.  

As the Chief Commercial Officer you are accountable for the commercial strategy and  development of our business through marketing, sales, product commercialisation,  customer satisfaction and play a critical role in driving business innovation and growth to achieve our goals.  

Responsibilities:  

•Deliver strategic and operative leadership for sales, marketing, and customer  

success in pursuit of Promethiem overall business goals.  

•Ensure the translation of the Sales & Marketing strategy into business targets,  

budgets and tangible plans.  

•Strategic marketing and sales plans and forecasts for defining the commercial path  

to growth and profitability.  

•Develop and manage sales & marketing operating budgets and sales strategies  

across key market segments to ensure that Promethiem identifies and optimizes a  clear path to aggressive growth  

•Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee

that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated targets and  budgets.  

•Stay updated on relevant industry, technology and market trends and combine this  

with a needs analysis of prospective customers and market segments to identify  winning propositions that deliver revenue growth, profitability, retention, and  innovation.  

•Create and manage strong partnerships with key stakeholders including technology  

and service vendors, commercial partners and internal support teams to create and deliver end-to-end innovation value chains for customers.  

•Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.  

•Establish and maintain good relationships with the IT Services Group, Cyber Security  

and Service Delivery to analyse actual product’s performance, possible  improvements, new features or services.  

•Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on commercial matters.

Requirements:  

•Min. 5 years of professional experience in business development and direct  

marketing/sales experience preferably in cloud provider, managed IT services or  related ICT industry.  

•Min. 5 years of professional experience in the development of business strategies,  

preferably in internationally operating companies.  

•Min. 5 years of leadership experience as Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing  

Officer or similar, preferably in cloud provider, managed IT services or related ICT  industry.  

•Experience in working with start-ups highly desired.  

•Flexible, trustworthy with an ability to lead and build relationships on all levels.  

•Customer focus with the ability to establish and maintain successful client relations.

•Experience in managing cloud and or data centre products portfolio is an added  

advantage.  

•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal  

services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for  services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction  

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English coupled with good  

listening and critical reasoning skills.  

•Experience working with an international high performing, technology team that  

spans multiple time zones.  

•Strong business acumen backed with commercial sense.  

•Experience reporting, presenting and communicating with customers, executives  

and all levels within the business.
