Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Manager to lead our planning and project management teams. This is a newly established role where you will have the opportunity to shape and optimize our project and planning processes, ensuring that our customer projects are executed with the highest efficiency and planning effectiveness. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee project managers and planners, driving excellence in project delivery and planning operations. You are also responsible for developing strategies and optimizing resource utilization to maximize efficiency and results.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and planners, ensuring that they are equipped to execute global complex technical systems. Provide guidance, support, and direction to help them achieve their goals.
Project Management: Oversee the execution of large customized systems, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Work closely with project managers to identify the best methodologies and tools for project execution, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
S&OP Process Management: Be responsible for leading and coordinating the company's S&OP process to ensure a balance between demand and supply capacity. Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to create demand forecasts, to ensure that the business can meet these needs through proper capacity planning.
Planning and Process Optimization: Develop and implement effective planning processes that align with our project management framework. Evaluate the performance of the planning process and identify opportunities for improvement.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance project and planning processes to meet future demands. Introduce the right project tools and methodologies optimizing the entire value chain from project inception to completion.
Global Collaboration: Actively participate in global project management groups, contributing to and driving best practices for project execution on an international scale. Lead efforts to standardize reporting, measurement, and project management techniques across the organization.
Strategic Planning: Build and maintain a project and planning organization that is capable of meeting increasing demands from more customer projects with greater cost efficiency. Assess and enhance the capacity of your team to handle future project loads.
Qualifications:
Education: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a similar role.
Technical Expertise: Strong technical interest and background, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech industry. Proficiency in using ERP systems is expected, with knowledge of LN being a significant advantage
Project Management Experience: Proven experience in leading large, complex projects, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness in a manufacturing environment.
Planning Expertise: Deep understanding of planning and S&OP processes and their integration with project management, particularly in the context of production and manufacturing.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and inspiring teams to achieve high levels of performance. Prior leadership experience in a technical industry is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team and communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
Result-Oriented: Strong focus on achieving results, with a proactive approach to managing projects and resources.Process-Driven: A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the project and planning functions.
