Opening Date: 19/2/2018 Closing Date: 19/3/2018 Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week Location: London, SE1 2AF Salary: Competitive The UK Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence offers a broad range of advice to our clients in domains such as: * Business & data architecture, data quality and data ingestion process design * Information design, standard and regulatory reporting, management dashboards * Architecture as a Service and Analytics as a Service * IoT and digital driven solutions * Advanced analytics across risk, customer, finance, supply chain and digital intelligence * Robotics Process Automation (RPA), meant to automate our clients’ current processes, performing process analysis, process re-engineering and software implementation.
We have a broad experienced and energetic team based across the UK and we work with the most innovative technologies in our field.
We are currently looking for capable, motivated professionals to join the team as Managers in Data Scientist and Machine Learning.
The job entails building machine learning models to be used in solving business problems for our clients.
Tasks & responsibilities: * Apply statistical or machine learning techniques design, and development of processes meant to operationalize derived analytical models into business applications * Research, design and develop state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms, tools and systems * Identify added-value insights from data and build that into visualizations * Support transformation processes towards a data centric culture * Work closely together with colleagues from other departments, in domains such as risk management, business optimization and customer intelligence.
Profile: * Good understanding of mathematical, probability & statistics principles, and of algorithm theory * Machine Learning theoretical knowledge and practical experience (building predictive models) * Degree qualification or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering is essential * Professional experience working within BI Analytics is essential * You must be an expert in the following modelling software packages: MATLAB, R * You must have expert programming skills in at least three of the following languages: Python, C++, Java, T-SQL * Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL is a must * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies into clear & compelling recommendations * Business understanding in one of the risk, finance, customer or supply chain domains is a major asset In addition, the following skills would be welcomed: * Experience with Agile methodologies (ideally SCRUM) * Experience in multiple tools/language/frameworks within the Big Data world (Hadoop, MongoDB, Neo4j, Spark, Hive, Hbase, Cassandra, etc.) * Familiar with modern visualization tool (MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, etc.) * Experience working in a cloud environment.
