DTU Nanolab’s Fabrication Support group needs a new leader. DTU Nanolab is expanding our current cleanroom activities. If you want to play an active role in the future of micro- and nanofabrication in Denmark, you might just be the person we are looking for to strengthen DTU’s efforts. If you can link commercial as well as academic applications to real life, then we as a core facility, at an elite technical university, really want to hear from you.
Job content
As the new Head of Fabrication Support, you will manage a group of some 10 people, which takes care of user training, process development, and customer inquiries etc. Your major tasks are to guide the diverse team and have an overview of its many activities. You will be part of the management team of DTU Nanolab and in this way influence the future path of the facility. You will be the first contact for new commercial customers, help existing ones and make sure that the administration surrounding these activities are well oiled. You will lead communication with cleanroom users (TechForum and Tool Package Training) and be coordinator of student education in the cleanroom. All of this in the frame of a highly advanced technology field with which you should have a deep understanding.
Qualifications
You must have a Master of Science degree, a Ph.D. degree or have acquired similar education within a relevant field, such as Micro/Nanofabrication, Physics, Microelectronics, or similar.
We expect you to have:
- At least 5 years of experience within cleanroom fabrication work
- Ability to collaborate with both academic and commercial users
- Thorough knowledge of nano-fabrication methods like lithography (UV, DUV, e-beam), Wet chemical etching, dry etching, thin film deposition and process characterization
- Several years of experience with planning and executing cleanroom process flows
- Experience with equipment training videos and educational material
- Can clarify a customer’s requirements and understand commercial entities needs
- Master Danish and English - both verbal and written
Furthermore, it is desirable that you:
- Have an understanding of academia
- Are actively communicating and curious
- Want to help others improve and get better solutions
Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position is a full-time position. Starting as early as possible with respect to mutual agreement.
As Head of Fabrication Support you will report to DTU Nanolab’s director and be part of the management team.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
