Duties & Responsabilities :

ArcelorMittal the world's leading steel and mining company, with around 199,000 employees in more than 60 countries is currently hiring for ArcelorMittal European Purchasing Organisation.

Within the European Procurement Organization (EPO), the By Products Sales Team aims to achieve excellence in the management of By Products in the frame of the circular economy:

• Ensure plants reliability and production levels

• Respect all rules, legislations, and standards in regard to Health, Safety and Environment

• Obtain the best possible value for By Products, as sustainable replacements for virgin raw materials

The BPS Team is coordinating sales for all sites of ArcelorMittal Flat Europe (Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland) and bringing supports to other sites worldwide.

About the role and responsabilities

Reporting to the Head of By Products Sales, the Lead Seller will assess marketability, then develop strategy and sales of ByProducts in the field of construction and civil engineering, in accordance to ArcelorMittal policy and values. It concerns ByProducts currently generated, but also to be produced in the future, within the Decarbonization Plan of ArcelorMittal.

• Market assessment and follow-up for new ByProducts, including cement, concrete, aggregates, chemical specialities… Build commercial and economical indicators to support negotiation process.

• Design of a relevant sales strategy then deploy and follow the corresponding action plan with support of plant's Lead Sellers.

• Management of new customers, both prospection/identification of potential markets and reception of new requests and bring appropriate answers based on customers specifics and materials available.

• Participate / Lead negotiations with identified customers, reaching targets set by management. Maximize sales revenue while ensuring plant's proper operations on short and mid term, avoiding landfilling (Priority #1) and manage environmental risks (costs, volume, regulations, etc).

• Contracts management with support of Plants' Sellers. Redaction and implementation of contracts as per AM rules. Review of monthly sales figures, update S&OPs, coordination with plants ensure continuous deliveries to customers and manage stocks levels.

• Build and lead dedicated sales actions to penetrate new markets / increase market share. Manage task force including Plant's Sellers, CTO, R&D, Environment Dpts.

• Follow up of the results and report performance & savings.

Education :

• Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce or other related field

Skills & Specifications :

• Master degree in Business, Engineering or Chemistry

• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, high commercial sense and capacity of synthesis

• Good knowledge of circular economy principles and applications for byproducts / waste streams, especially in the construction field, is a plus.

• Ability to understand products, processes and their applications, to work in pluri-disciplinal teams.

• Rigorous. Proficiency with Excel tools (Pivot, Solver) is recommended.

• High energy, curiosity and self-motivation

• Willingness to travel frequently

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Work experience requirements :

• Industrial experience (min of 10 years) preferably in construction or civil engineering industry ideally within sales and/or marketing roles

Languages :  

• Fluency in English is mandatory

• Working professiency in French is desirable
