Position Overview:

The consultant will work on multiple projects/data initiatives, with project teams of up to 10 people (including functional analysts, software developers, business managers, experts, key-users ...). As a support engineer, you support different project teams by performing well-defined tasks. The projects/data initiatives are part of a business program (ALC DO) that aims to achieve 1 digital master for our transmission network in Belgium. As ALC DO is a key program for client we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Support Engineer to join the project team, with following assets: hands on, anaytic, entrepreneurial and willing to learn a lot.

What you'll do:

• The consultant will report to the project leader and your hierarchy.
• The consultant will work as a service provider for different customers within client Transmission Belgium in an agile way.
• Together with the customer, the consultant defines the critical success factors for each project and is responsible for their follow-up throughout the project.
• The consultant will interpret and translate the customer demand into concrete data needs. For this the consultant need the necessary business knowledge.
• The consultant will collect the data needed for each project and consult with the operational teams on data needs that are not yet structurally covered.
• The consultant will participate in the elaboration of data capture & maintenance processes and then proceed to register the useful information/data in our reference systems.
• The consultant will be responsible for the pre-processing (selecting, transforming, modeling, cleaning, integrating and formatting) of the data.
• It is crucial that the consultant have a data-centric attitude.

• Master in Science preferably with major in electromechanics or electricity (ing. or ir.) or equivalent through experience and are willing to do a deep dive in data and find out what it has in common with the electricity grid.
• Knowledge of the basics of electricity is a must.
• Knowledge of python for data manipulation is an advantage.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
• You have a strong analytical mind, are results-oriented, work independently & well organized, can communicate well with customers or other stakeholders regardless of level.
• You are eager to learn and are entrepreneurial.
• You are a team player and take initiative.
• You have a sufficient dose of customer orientation and flexibility.
• Being able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary project team
• Wanting to work in a technical environment is a must.
• Skilled with Office applications such as: PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Word, Access.
• You can express yourself fluently in English and Dutch or French.
