IT Administrator - CAO. West. Irlanda

This is a full-time permanent position based on-site in the CAO, Galway city centre responsible for IT support and administration.

Duties include:

•    network and user account administration

•    overseeing IT security

•    hardware/software configuration

•    assist with technical queries

Skills & knowledge required:

1.    strong technical aptitude with the ability to research & solve technical issues

2.    good working knowledge of computing and CLI

3.    database administration

4.    understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection  

5.    programming skills desirable

Relevant Technologies:

· Linux, SQL, Virtualisation, Firewall, ADC, Authentication

Applicants require a qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field and 3+ years relevant IT experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of an existing IT team and an eagerness to undertake appropriate training
