Unlock the Future of Quantum Computing! The world’s toughest mathematical

problems remain unsolvable for even the most powerful supercomputers.

Quantum computing holds the key to these challenges, but we need to

transform today’s prototypes into scalable, reliable systems. Leading the

way are trapped-ion quantum processors, excelling in qubit fidelity and

quantum volume, and poised for real-world impact.

As a Trapped-Ion Development Engineer, you will become part of a highly

motivated, global team committed to realizing the potential of quantum

computing. You will collaborate closely with esteemed clients and academic

collaborators, taking charge of the advancement of trapped-ion quantum

processors (ionQPUs). This will involve spearheading the industrialization

of ionQPUs through the integration of multiple chips, driving the

development of this cutting-edge technology.

In your new role you will:

· Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors, with

focus scaling towards very large chips

· Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with our commercial partners

· Enable the research community through projects with academic partners

· Supervise master and PhD students//

You are a proactive individual with a passion for *new technologies, *and

team player qualities.

To thrive on your quantum adventure, you should:

· Be a highly motivated individual who wants quantum computing to become

a reality

· Have a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, computational physics

or similar

· Bring 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing

· Be fluent in English, German skills or the willingness to learn is a

plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your

performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance

with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the

electrical and electronics industry, employment group H

The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation

depending on your expertise and skills.
