Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:

We are looking for a medical specialist to join Stem Cell R&D at Novo Nordisk. If you are curious about cell therapy drug development, willing to take on functional leadership in the team and be a clinical development and medical expert in a team-oriented “biotech within a big pharma”-like working environment, this could be an exciting opportunity for you.

About Stem Cell R&D and Stem Cell Development

Stem Cell R&D is a transformational research unit (TRU), created in 2018. Today we are more than 100 employees and aim to cover the whole R&D value chain within cell therapies, from research to product approval.

Stem Cell Development in the TRU covers non-clinical, clinical development and regulatory affairs. Currently we are ten colleagues in the team and our drug development approach is to a large extent built on collaborations and partnerships.

The position

You will be the medical specialist for assigned projects in the Stem Cell R&D portfolio consult on cell therapy clinical development and medical matters within the TRU. In time, the role also includes the opportunity to project lead a Clinical Development Team, responsible for creating and implementing our clinical development strategies and plans. As projects advances from research and CMC into clinical development you may also have the option to take on the full project leadership role.

As a Medical Specialist, you will contribute to the success of Stem Cell Development and Stem Cell R&D by identifying innovative approaches to cell therapy clinical drug development, including design and implementation of early and late stage clinical trials. You will also be addressing dilemmas and analyse complex challenges to propose new ways to support projects.

The role requires the ability to work effectively with people from different functions and organisational levels, calling for high cultural awareness and the necessary skills to encourage and influence colleagues, governance, and key stakeholders. You will report to the VP of Stem Cell Development and the position is based in Måløv, Denmark.

Qualifications

You should hold a University degree in medical science (MD) and ideally also a PhD or doctoral thesis. Additional desired skills and competencies include:

  • In depth knowledge of global drug development
  • Experience with strategic and planning aspects of clinical development
  • Experience of interacting with regulatory authorities
  • Preferably experience creating, motivating and leading project teams and individuals
  • Experience of navigating within an environment of tight timelines, high-complexity, non-standards and diverse tasks in known and new therapy areas
  • Excellent analytical skills, systematic approach to identify root causes and propose innovative ways to solve problems
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific procedures with technical proficiency both orally and in writing. Advanced level written and spoken English is a prerequisite

As the work takes place in multidisciplinary project groups, we expect you to be a dedicated team player, find it easy to build working relationships, and gain recognition amongst stakeholders with your proactiveness, integrity, and communication skills.
