The HVAC Specialist is accountable to the Technical and Facility Executive and is responsible to perform a wide variety of tasks associated with HVAC’s and air-conditioning and other duties of a similar nature.

- Perform preventive maintenance/repair on HVAC systems such as AHUs, Chillers, VRF and Split type units, Cassettes, mobile aircraft cabin Air-conditioners and Air ventilation units

- Maintain maintenance inventory and raise requisition for part supplies

- Ensure maintenance, repair and test works are done in compliance with applicable standards and health and safety requirements

- Perform cleaning schedules and corrective maintenance tasks

- Perform installation of Split type air-conditioners

- Ability to handle and log F-Gases in conformity to EU regulations

- Ability to work at height and assist using cherry picker/scissor lifter

- Locate and diagnose equipment/installation failures/leaks and perform corrective action

- Coordinate service requirements with outside contractors/technicians on new equipment

Ihr Profil:

- Must have ability to read schematics and technical manuals.

- Must be computer literate.

- Seasoned judgment and the ability to set priorities and make decisions.

- Demonstrates capability to co-ordinate effectively with maintenance personnel, other employees and management.

- Requires limited direction.

- Ideally a minimum of 2 years work experience enabling the application of technical knowledge to perform assigned tasks independent of supervision.

- Good interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.

- Must be in possession of an engineering / technical diploma at MQF Level 4 related to HVAC systems.

Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd. (LTM) was established in 2003 as a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik AG (92%) and Air Malta (8%). The MRO service provider (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), based at Malta International Airport in Luqa, provides its customers with line and base maintenance services for short haul and long haul aircraft in the Airbus A320/A330/340/350 series. Initially specializing in C Checks and comprehensive aircraft modifications, the company has now significantly expanded its service portfolio following the construction of a 64,000 square meter hangar complex. The spectrum of services offered has grown to encompass extensive maintenance work with wide ranging capabilities including structural and composite fibre repairs, complex testing procedures and comprehensive cabin refits.
