Social housing provider Acis is looking to recruit a passionate and organised individual to join us as a HR Advisor to cover maternity leave for 6+ months on a fixed-term basis, sitting within the HR Team. You will need to be able to deliver a comprehensive generalist HR service to the Company and provide support and guidance to line managers on a day-to-day basis.Promote the Acis way of working by supporting the HR Team in managing change effectively and fostering positive employee relations throughout the business. Assist the HR Team in achieving functional excellence by co-ordinating and promoting all HR operational activities and championing effective Human Resource Management practices. Hold a relevant professional qualification eg CIPD level 5 A good standard of education, including A-Levels or equivalent. Relevant degree-level qualification is desirable Full UK Driving Licence A demonstrable knowledge of developing and maintaining effective Human Resource Management practices and processes Possesses a good basic knowledge of current UK Employment Law Previous experience of providing an effective Human Resource service and advising on general HR issues Experience of working with confidential information and maintaining its security Excellent IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook High analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate information Excellent administrative skills, eg ability to maintain accurate files and records Capable of taking on a broad spectrum of work and the ability to multi-task and produce high quality outputs within agreed time frames Objective and able to maintain confidentiality at all times Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels Appreciation of and empathy with the Company’s objectives and a commitment to contributing to its success An understanding and commitment to equality with the workplace Flexible and co-operative and prepared to be ‘part of a team’ Personally committed to provide high quality Customer Service Committed to both personal and organisational learning and development, and keen to progress as a HR professional Curious, decisive thinker, skilled influencer, driven to deliver, collaborative, personally credible, courage to challenge, role model as defined within CIPD HR Profession Map Commitment to the Organisation Customer focus · Team working · Communication · Effectiveness/delivering results · Information handling/decision making · Learning, adapting and continuous improvement · Coaching, Developing, Leadership The role will be based at Acis House, Bridge Street, Gainsborough, DN21 1GG and may require travel to other sites as required to meet business needs. Hours of work for this role are 37 hours per week. Flexi-time is available between 7.00am and 7.00pm. Normal office hours are between 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am – 4.30pm on Fridays. The post holder will be required to travel to other locations as required to meet business needs as part of their role. It is desirable that the post holder has access to their own transport and has insurance for business use. The dress code for this role is office smart. The post holder will be required to work within a shared office environment and the role requires frequent use of Display Screen Equipment.
