HGV Driver. Mid-East. Irlanda

As an HGV driver you will be working as part of a team and responsible for the safe delivery of cars to customers around Ireland.

The job role of an HGV driver includes the following duties:

Operating commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes, including rigid trucks, articulated lorries, transporters and trailer wagons

Driving long or short distances

Delivery cars to customers

Collect and deliver broken down cars to the garage.

Deliver fixed cars back to the owner.

Collect Road Traffic Collision cars from Road Traffic Collision breakdown location and bring them to destination either in company’s yard or garage to be fixed.

Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers

Making sure cars to be delivered to customers are safely secured.

Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary

Completing delivery paperwork

Keeping up-to-date logbooks

Conducting basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks
