The Role

As Head of Technology Development at reTyre, you'll be at the forefront of leading the development team in innovative projects, meaning that you will own overall responsibilities of coordination, strategic planning, risk management, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in tyre technology.

But that's just the beginning.

Your role will extend beyond your team. You'll have the unique opportunity to work across departments, collaborating with our Commercial, Material and Manufacturing teams to take part in shaping the brand's next steps to meet and create new market demands and segments.

You'll also collaborate with technology teams from leading international brands, offering a global perspective to your teams’ work. Your involvement will span the entire development cycle—from the fuzzy front-end of ideation, through testing, designing manufacturing tools, overseeing trial production, and finally, to commercialization.

In essence, no two days will be the same. The team, will under your pristine management, pioneer new and sustainable tyre products, transforming not just how tyres look, but how the world views them. Your team’s work will be the future of the tyre industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the team towards successful execution of development projects according to company milestones.

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation as well as provide progress updates, gather feedback, and make necessary project adjustments.

• Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring team members have the resources needed for success.

• Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, as well as implement quality control measures to ensure outputs meet required specifications and standards.

• Lead the way! We are looking for an experienced people manager with a high focus on team building as well as being attentive to the individual, bringing out the best in both.

• Leading with a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, that fosters a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project management, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.

• Strong leadership and people management skills and experience.

• Proficient in project management tools and software.

• Background from R&D

• Strategic and operative thinker with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time, and lead a team to achieve innovative outcomes.
