Breach creates cutting-edge immersive experiences across all XR platforms (VR, AR, MR, XR). We are now looking for a leader of our team of engineers and developers.

Headquartered in the tech-capital and university city of Trondheim, Norway, Breach is at the forefront of developing innovative projects, games, and applications for both internal ventures and global clients. Our dynamic team of 40-some talented professionals from 9 different countries is eager to welcome new team members who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of XR technology.

We are seeking a Engineering Manager who thrives on innovation and complex challenges. The ideal candidate brings a diverse skill set, extensive industry experience and fresh perspectives to the table.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Breach engineering department in alignment with company objectives and values.

• Manages staffing, resource allocation, and professional development.

• Analyzes industry and market trends for innovation opportunities.

• Oversees projects for quality and alignment, aiding in stakeholder and client relations.

• Signs off on project plans, designs, deliverables and milestones.

• Reports to the CEO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience and leadership experience

• In-depth experience with development processes for developing games, apps and/or XR experiences, using technologies and frameworks such as: Unity, Unreal Engine, WebXR, Meta Quest, ARKit/RealityKit, Android, React, Typescript

• Excellent leadership skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent strategic mindset

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to to work with and mentor others in creative teams

Sindre Grønvoll, our Art Director and Lead Designer, brings a wealth of experience garnered over a decade in the gaming industry. Having lent his talents to notable companies like DICE, Criterion, Zynga, and The Chinese Room, Sindre's insights into game design are invaluable. He also shares his knowledge through occasional lectures on the subject.

Martin Sivertsen, our CTO and Lead Developer, embodies technical leadership honed by a remarkable journey spanning more than 20 years. His diverse background as a programmer, designer, journalist, and producer within VR, web, and online media in Norway enriches our team's capabilities.

At the helm is Marius Thorvaldsen, our CEO. Marius boasts a proven track record in establishing and managing startups across various industries. Notably, he was the spearhead of Work-Work, a gamified co-working space, and has been serving as a digital educational technology advisor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.
