About the job

Geveko Markings has a job opening for a talented and cooperative Finance Assistant who will be responsible for the daily management of the financials tasks for their subsidiary in France. The person will be an important player for the group to ensure high quality in the financial reporting and to ensure that it is delivered within the deadlines for the group. The new Finance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the French legislation in relation to French GAAP, VAT, tax etc. in corporation with our external auditors and tax advisors.

We are offering versatile assignments within finance, where you will be able to get a full overview of the company and understanding of the business. As you will be part of a team you will of course have the support of your team in the Finance Shared Service Center in Kastrup. The team is there to assist/ train and support you with everything from the usage of the system and internal working processes.

You will be reporting to the Group Accounting Team Leader, who is located with the team in Denmark. As our new Finance Assistant you will be part of the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) which consists of finance, BI and IT. The position will be based in our office in Kastrup / Copenhagen.

Areas of responsibility 

Your key areas of responsibility will be as follows:

  • Daily bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Assuring of compliance with the French chart of account
  • Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet account within the group deadlines
  • VAT declarations and payments
  • Preparation of audit documentation
  • Participation of the integration of the local finance function into the group finance structure
  • Monthly analysis of OPEX, stock etc.
  • Other tasks within Group finance.

About you

You are able to work and communicate fluently in French both verbally and in writing. The position requires a hands-on person who has the strength, drive, and desire to be part of transforming the finance function to a more professional level and who can create a change of agenda in the current workflows. The right person has a high degree of structural skills, understands financial reporting and has knowledge of the details of accounting.

On top of that we imagen you to have:

  • A relevant education within Economics
  • Experience from a similar position or experience from accountancy
  • Performs well in communicating in French and English
  • Profound knowledge of IT, Excel and ERP systems as business tools
  • Experience with Microsoft D365FO is an advantage, but not a requirement.

  • Performance-driven and with a strong problem-solving attitude - who always meet required deadlines
  • Open to change, robust and careful person who is self-motivated and thus also self-initiating
  • Ability to maintain an overview in a busy everyday life and is able to see opportunities for optimization.
