Our client is a private equity company operating for emerging markets and has offices in Paris and Luxembourg. The company has a unique track record on its market with more than 60 deals closed and US$700m of capital deployed.

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller who is energetic, proactive with highly professional ethical to join the company. That position should offer a career path to a Conducting Officer role.

Our client runs investment projects which are one way among others to improve social welfare in respect of the living environment of people.

Main responsibilities

• The person will be in charge of the financial & tax aspects of the different structures of the group, including but not limited to the following tasks:

• Monitoring & control of flows linked to investments (investments, calls, distributions, etc.) and linked to the Company (cash management, Invoices validation, etc.).

• Supervision of the preparation of quarterly financial statements for the Group's various structures, notably in collaboration with the accountants and auditors.

• Follow-up of the preparation of capital accounts for various investment structures.

• Monitoring & control the delegates in charges of the administration / accounting of the different structure, including the Company and its branch in Paris.

• Follow-up of budgets (management company and funds' cash forecasts) and also the valuation of the investments in the different portfolios.

• Participation in the preparation of quarterly reporting (financial section) in collaboration with other team members.

• Involvement in transversal project (financial section).

• Engage in intellectually demanding tasks within a stimulating work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.

Profile

• Academic background in accounting & finance.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant environment (audit, fund administration, etc.).

• Previous experience in private equity fund accounting (including IFRS) will be a real advantage.

• Sound knowledge and experience with portfolio valuation in accordance with Luxembourgish AIFMD requirements, based on practical work and knowing industry standards such as the International Private Equity & Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEV) or similar.

• Ability to multi-task, strong intellectual & work rigour, pro-activity, highly analytical with good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, team player.

• Full-time position based in Luxembourg.

• The person will report directly to the Company Secretary.

• Fluent in English & French.
