Facilities Assistant Technician. Dublin. Irlanda

The chq Building and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum are looking for a Facilities Assistant Technician to join our team

The chq Building is a grade one listed building situated within Dublin Docklands. The chq Building is home to the European Award-winning EPIC Museum, a range of retail & food outlets, the tech co-working space Dogpatch Labs as well as being host to a wide array of events throughout the year. We are looking for someone to join the facilities team that services The chq Building and EPIC Museum.

The Role

This exciting role sits within our EPIC & CHQ Facilities Team. The role involves working closely with our front of house teams as well as external suppliers and vendors. We are looking for someone to ensuring the smooth daily operations of the building and the EPIC museum. This role requires occasional evening and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

- Hands-on team member assisting the team in executing day to day facilities duties as directed by Building Manager

- Execute event support management such as set ups/break-down of furniture and stage for functions

- Carry out some administration tasks such as ticket monitoring, creating purchase orders and work planning

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

- An interest and ability to work on tools for repairs and maintenance as required throughout the building

- 1 + years relevant experience

- Formal training / certification in any trade would be advantageous

- Computer knowledge essential

* Please note that working at heights/hoist usage will be part of this role, appropriate training will be provided as necessary

The candidate should have:

- Strong communication skills with fluency in English

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Flexibility - this is essential as this position requires early morning, evening as well as occasional weekend work based on events, projects, or maintenance requirements

- An understanding of technical aspects such as fire protection system, mechanical & electrical systems, AV system is a plus

Working Hours

9 - 5.30pm Monday – Friday, due to the nature of the role additional hours around events are required for mornings, evenings and at weekends. Time in lieu will be given.
