English Language Assistant. Irlanda

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Language Assistant to join our team for the 2024-2025 academic year. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your teaching skills while contributing to a lively educational community.

About the role:

As an English Language Assistant, you will work across three local schools, engaging with learners aged between 9 and 18. Under the supervision of a lead teacher, you will play an essential role in our educational programme. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading English lessons for school students, creating engaging course materials, and evaluating students’ progress. You will also assist students in organising their personal work and adjust teaching tools as needed to ensure effective learning.

• Supporting the management of the classroom environment, coordinating communication with parents, and organising and administering student assessments.

• Working closely with other teachers and colleagues to enhance the educational experience and participate in the school's broader educational activities.

• You will stay informed about new training needs and educational tools, adapt your methods to meet the needs of your audience and cultivate an appreciation for the English language among students.

• Cultivating an appreciation for the English language among your students.

What you’ll need to succeed:

You will be supported to be your best and to develop your skills and knowledge in this role. To ensure you can make the most of the experience, we ask that you have:

• Fluency in English, with an excellent level of written and spoken language.

• A good understanding of the French language, at least B1 level.

• Previous teaching experience is a bonus but not essential. Your affinity and aptitude for

imparting knowledge to a young audience will be the foundation of your success.

• To be eligible for this position, you must be available between Monday, September 30th,

2024, and Saturday, June 14th, 2025.
