Support children’s development.

Implementation of activities and curriculum.

Work as a team.

Provide a safe and secure environment for children.

To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the safety and welfare of the children.

Provide for the holistic needs of the children.

Actively engage the children in the developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the potential development of each child.

To promote an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment.

Observe and record children’s progress.

Preparing the environment in line with the Montessori teachings communicating effectively with children, parents and staff alike.

Meeting established policies and procedures and creating an environment of best practice in line with Montessori education.

Planning and developing curriculum and activities.

Prepares and delivers lessons and activities.

Teaching and assessing children through the Montessori method.

Observing, recording and monitoring the children's development.

Maintaining health and safety standards.

Prepares, assigns and corrects exercises to record and evaluate students’ progress.

Maintains records of students’ progress and development.

Supervises students and maintains classroom discipline.

Teaches simple songs and rhymes, reads stories and organises various activities to promote language, social and physical development.

Discusses progress with student, parents and/or other education professionals.

Relevant experience and qualification desirable.

Location of employment Little Tots Academy, Rosehill, Clonbealy, Newport, County Tipperary, V94 Y220 Minimum annual remuneration €34000 per year.  Hours of work: 39 hours per week.
