Digital Engagement Assistant. Irlanda

Purpose of the role: The role of Digital Engagement Assistant will have responsibility for executing email marketing campaigns for the Alumni team, and supporting the Alumni Communications team in content management, marketing reports, and social media and customer service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage alumni email campaigns including copywriting, design, audience building, and reporting

Assist the Digital Engagement Officer with tasks relating to social media, content management, and mass engagement emails

Be a point of contact for general queries from alumni

Provide some administrative support to the office.

The Digital Engagement Assistant will proactively liaise with members of the Alumni team, Development team, UCD Units, Colleges, and Schools to support an annual programme of activity, events and communications helping to build and strengthen lifelong relationships between UCD and its alumni worldwide.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Email campaign management. Support members of the Alumni team in creating and evaluating their email marketing campaigns. This includes:

Copywriting

Designing visual elements

Reporting on campaign performance

Managing and segmenting email audience data.

Supporting content marketing activities. In addition to email campaigns, this role assists the Alumni Communications team with the following as needed:

Organic social media content creation for mass engagement campaigns

Creating ad content for Google Ads and social media channels

Organising and maintaining marketing materials

Liaising with the Information Services team to ensure up-to-date data is being captured on communications.

Customer service and administrative support.

Be a point of contact for external general queries from alumni

Manage the alumni communications email inbox and social media inbox

Support the general inquiries phone line as needed at certain times of the year

Provide general administrative support, including management of eProcurement.

As a member of the team, the Digital Engagement Assistant will support special projects as run by the Alumni team to ensure delivery, and they will also be expected to collaborate close

Education and Experience:

    A third level qualification and relevant professional experience

    Relevant experience of building and maintaining relationships

    A background in alumni relations, event support and/or communications, business development, data control or customer service

    Computer literate – experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Experience with social media and website editing

    Strong data analysis skills.
