Are you an experienced designer? Are you creative and able to put fastmoving trends into sustainable fashion with the aim to optimise and develop the SELECTED HOMME brand together with a dedicated design team?

SELECTED HOMME is looking for an experienced designer to join its design team and take part in the future development of our brand’s products. You will have a strong track record in creating high-quality, commercially successful styles, alongside a deep understanding of the latest trends and fabric innovations.

The position and work environment

With our brand DNA in mind, you will take part in the entire design process from concept stage through to the finished product. The work environment is dynamic and informal, and you will work closely with colleagues that are all passionate about the products they produce, which we therefore also expect you to be. In collaboration with buyers and suppliers you will be working consistently on newness and improving our products.

Your responsibilities will among others include:

• Creation of new collections, product concepts, trend presentations and design sketches – with focus on OTW, Shirts and Wovens.
• Research of new macro tendencies, seasonal trends and fabrics
• Interpretation of our Brand DNA within the outerwear product range
• Conduct competitor benchmark analyses
• Develop and drawing styles via Adobe Creative Cloud
• Comment on samples with our buyers and pattern designers
• Collaborate with the Sales department on feedback and customer expectations

Your profile

Taking initiative and working independently comes naturally to you, and you have an ambitious mindset and a creative and commercial sense. You have a confident can-do attitude, and you are a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, that thrive in a busy and dynamic environment. You have a natural ability to spot trends and turn them into stylish, commercial designs. You pay attention to detail and manage to keep an overview in a creative and fast-moving process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Designer, preferably outerwear, shirt/woven
• Strong understanding of menswear trends and consumer preferences
• Solid technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and materials
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Illustrator 
• Fluent in English, both in speech and writing

Work location: Brande, Denmark. 

Travel: You can expect approx. 15 annual travel days.

Expected start date: as soon as possible or latest 1st October 2024
