As a Delicatessen Assistant, you will be the working alongside a team to ensure the store will run smoothly on a day to day basis. As an Assistant, you will need to have work in a fast paced environment, ensure health and safety procedures are being implemented and work well with others in the Deli Area.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following;

Liase with the Deli Manager / Store Manager regarding the daily operations requirements pertaining to the Delicatessen and Hot Food offering available in store.

To prepare and serve our high-quality food offering in a fast, efficient manner.

Ensure that the Deli displays are cleaned thoroughly and kept to the highest standards at all times throughout the day.

Ensure that food and presentation is of the highest standard.

Carrying, restocking large quantities of food stocks for the deli.

Standing and moving products and equipment throughout the entire shift.

Tending to customers and prioritise customer care and service, ensuring promotion of the company.

Support, direct and implement promotional lines and offers in store and to customers.

Ensure products are accurately labelled and priced and in line with regulations.

Develop and implement HACCP regulations with regard to the area of fresh food.

All HACCP records are to be completed in full and kept safely.

Maintain Food Wastage. Control and Record in full.

Ensure that regular equipment and maintenance are safe and ensure that service calls are made if required.

Focus on supporting customers queries, requests and any complaints that may arise.

Communicate with Management regarding any concerns that may arise.

Comply with stores Customer care guidelines.

Wearing the correct Uniform, in line with HACCP, the store and the King Group.

Introduce and monitor weekly stock takes.

Liase with Store Management on sales, stock take results and any wastage.

Participate with Group Activities, Food Audits, Store

Assessments as part of the King Group trading standards.

Attend food safety seminars, external training seminars as part of the departmental development.

Carry out any duties as directed by Store Management.
