ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions is looking for a:  « Data Architect / Cloud Engineer» (m/f)

Report to: Head of AI

Working location:  Luxembourg

Duties & Responsabilities : Responsibilities

Data Architecture:

- Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Develop data models optimized for AI/ML workloads.

- Define data governance standards, ensuring data quality and security.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable designs.

Cloud Engineering:

- Build and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows using cloud-based tools

- Leverage cloud services for data storage, compute, and analytics.

- Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance.

- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data platform health.

Collaboration:

- Partner closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and business analysts to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.

- Work effectively with ArcelorMittal's cloud and data teams to ensure alignment with broader IT strategies.

- Provide SQL guidance to AI engineering on best practices and optimization

Education:

- Diploma in IT

- Certifications in AI

Skills & Specifications:

- Azure

- Azure Data Engineer Associate

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert

AWS:

- AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

DAMA:

- CDMP Data Management Fundamentals

- Active participation in data, AI, ML, or ESG communities, particularly involvement with DAMA International, is a plus.

Work experience requirements:

- 3-5+ years of proven experience in data architecture, data management in delivering Artificial Intelligence solutions  

- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., MS Fabric, Databricks) and data catalogs with strong proficiency in SQL.

- Expertise in data modeling, governance, and observability.

- Data-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Languages:  Fluency in English
