Key responsibilities will include: • Manage and supervise the operation of the DSP Community Employment Scheme • Administration of DSP Accounts and Budgets • Book Keeping • Payroll • Supervise general office duties. • Report directly to the BRYR Manager, prepare reports & attend Board meetings. • Ensure the implementation of all up-to-date legislation in policies regarding employment of CE participants. • Supervision of CE Scheme participants. • Development of Individual Development Learning Plans for each CE participant. • Sourcing of FETAC and other Accredited Training. • Work closely with sponsor groups. • Liaise with Community/Business partners to source job opportunities. • To perform such other reasonable duties as requested by the BRYR Manager and/or Board of Directors • Plan the service user daily time table which will include one to one time, group work sessions and other interventions. • Provide a platform where one to one care and goal setting sessions offer young people the setting to explore their potential and address any obstacles which may hinder their personal, social, educational, training and development needs. • To record and keep accurate, up to date project records, including participant files, daily/weekly group feedback sheets, programme reviews, attendance records, incident and accident sheets. • To raise awareness of and promote the work of the project through networking and liaising with the relevant agencies and individuals. • To commit to a continuous professional development of motivational approaches and effective interventions within an educational and youth work setting. • To attend identified and appropriate professional training. • To work effectively on one’s own initiative as well as part of a team in accordance with the projects organisational structures, ethos and procedures. • To attend and participate in appraisals and supervision process as required, and to use this opportunity to reflect upon professional practice, to request and receive support and guidance, and to identify strengths, weaknesses and training needs. • To provide support and supervision of staff team in line with the above. • To work within and adhere to the projects policies, procedures and good practice guidelines. • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the BRYR Manager from time to time. Candidates must have: • A minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience. • Experience of working with young people is desirable. • A major 3rd level qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) (minor/component awards at Level 6 or higher are insufficient). • A knowledge of barriers facing unemployed young people and an understanding of the principles relating to community development and social inclusion. • Own transport. • Garda vetting will be required. • Knowledge of FETAC and QQI qualifications is an added advantage. • Previous CE Supervisor experience is desirable.
