Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
Southwest Engineering, based in Milltown, Co. Kerry have an exciting career opportunity for a COO to join an expanding Irish company, serving a diverse range of national and international clients. The COO will report directly to the CEO of the company. This is a full-time, permanent role and is based in Kerry. Remuneration will be commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate.
The roles and responsibilities of the COO will be as follows:
- Working with the CEO and the Management Team, mobilise and align the resources of the organisation to develop and execute the strategic and operational plans of Southwest Engineering;
- In collaboration with the company’s management team ensure that Southwest Engineering operates at maximum capacity in line with the business growth objectives of the company;
- Develop effective systems and structures to manage and monitor company performance through development and review of relevant KPIs and agreed business metrics. This will include developing a standardised reporting procedure for consideration by the CEO;
- Enable and lead on innovation while developing a culture of continuous improvement, open communication and team work;
- Lead and execute a Digitisation Strategy for the company;
- Build competitiveness across the organisation through developing and implementing a culture and practice of operational excellence;
- Working with the team, identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs, whilst increasing the productivity of the organisation;
- Oversee the implementation of Southwest Engineering policies, compliance requirements and risk management including the development and management of the company risk register;
- Working with the team ensure that a continuous process is in place for multidisciplinary training and CPD to help ensure Southwest Engineering is more resilient to external market forces;
- Develop and implement strategies to support the sustainability objectives of the company;
- Any other duties as might be assigned by the CEO.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An honours degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Production or relevant discipline area;
- Strong business acumen;
- Ability to lead and direct a team;
- Proven track record in KPI delivery;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill;
- At least 5 years experience in a comparable role.
