Maintain the catering department and associated areas in a clean, hygienic condition. Ensure the dining room is tidy, warm, inviting, and properly set.

Manage kitchen staff respectfully and reasonably, ensuring all departmental tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

Ensure the presentation of food is of the highest standard.

Maintain a well-stocked kitchen while managing resources economically.

Create and maintain a ‘home-like’ atmosphere where residents are central to all decision-making, preserving their rights to individuality, privacy, dignity, independence, and choice.

Participate in both announced and unannounced visits from the management team, HIQA Inspectors, HSA, environmental health officers, and fire authorities.
