Details of the Position:

We are looking for an International Chef to join our team to prepare menus and meals on a day-to-day basis for the residents of our Address: Unit 1, Block A. Observatory Square. Hamilton. Garden Dublin 7 D07CFA4. To ensure that a high standard of hygiene is achieved and maintained in the kitchen. To ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good order and stored properly. Advise on kitchen supplies and stock levels. Manage kitchen staff and rosters.

Principal Responsibilities:

Prepare weekly menus – Identify specific individual dieting requirements.

Order all stock on a weekly basis and ensure that budgets are strictly adhered to.

Manage all kitchen staff and work with Roster.

Ensure that all raw and cooked meats and all other cooking ingredients are bought with nutritional values in mind and are fresh on arrival.

Ensure that all food is well presented and that all plates are hot.

Wash utensils and pans and ensure that kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Daily cleaning of all bench’s tops and under shelves.

Weekly defrosting of refrigerators and maintain daily tidiness of fridge.

Weekly cleaning of dishwasher and dishwasher area and food warming trollies.

Preparing vegetables and meats as required.

Comply with all other procedures as set out in the Company’s Policies & Procedures manual, staff notices and other company information.

Requirements:

Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as an International Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment. Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements is essential.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively manage and inspire a team. Experience in training and developing kitchen staff is desirable.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to food preparation, plating, and presentation, maintaining consistently high standards of quality and hygiene.

Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines within a demanding kitchen environment.

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, patients, and other stakeholders.

Contracted hours of work: 39 hour week including alternative weekend work.

Experience:
