Duties & Responsibilities

Ordering, preparing & supporting Head Chef.

Measuring meal ingredients accurately

Plating and presenting food items as per the Head Chef’s instruction

Receiving deliveries and making sure that all ordered items are of excellent quality and are delivered on time

Creating new menu items to be presented to Management, keeping in line with trends & seasonal produce

Performing cleaning duties and sanitising all work stations properly

Taking inventory of supplies and managing depleted or low supplies.

Ensuring orders are in line with targets & budget.

Disposing of all spoiled or expired food items stored in the freezers, refrigerators and stock rooms

Preparing meal ingredients, including seasoning of different meats, as well as chopping, peeling and washing, fruits and vegetables

Ideal Candidate will have:

Excellent references & past experience in a busy kitchen

Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team as well as independently

Ability to stand for long hours

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure
