Catering Assistant

Outline of main Responsibilities:

1.    Must be conscientious & self-motivated.

2.    Capable of following directions and working individually and as part of a team.

3.    Security is concise and punctual at all times.

4.    Personal hygiene must be maintained throughout the day.

5.    Be fit for the moving of equipment, lifting and storage of items.

6.    Rubbish and waste food collection and removal at appropriate times in the appropriate manner.

7.    Domestic duties, mopping, window washing, and sweeping as requested/required.

8.    Use of manual & automatic equipment.

9.    Health & safety compliant & H.A.C.C.P compliant at all times.

•    You will assist with the preparation of food & serving food.

•    You will be responsible for the cleaning of the lift,

2 large fridges & veg fridge.

•    You will assist with pot wash duties.

•    You will ensure your area is clean at all times

•    You will assist with the cleaning of kitchen equipment (fryers).

•    You will assist with the cleaning of the kitchen area and ancillary locations.

Domestic Assistant:

JOB PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

To work as part of the Domestic Services Team in ensuring that an efficient and high-quality Domestic Service is provided to all areas of the Boarding Houses & School.

RESPONSIBILITIE:

    To work as part of a team carrying out general cleaning in offices, boarding houses, classrooms, toilets and bathrooms.

    Must be conscientious & self-motivated.

    Capable of following directions and working individually or as part of a team.

    Security concise and punctual at all times.

    Personal hygiene maintained throughout the working day.

    Be fit for the moving of equipment, lifting and storage of items.

    Health & Safety plus H.A.C.C.P. complaint at all times.

MAIN DUTIES:

    Dusting, vacuuming and floor maintenance, including the operation of rotary floor scrubbing machines and other domestic cleaning appliances where applicable.

    To assist in the laundry, processing clothing and bed linen and associated materials.

    To carry out the above duties according to the frequencies specified in Work Schedules, or as directed by Management.

    To report any occurrences that may prevent these duties being carried out.

    Report any personal accidents/untoward incidents to the Line Manager, immediately.

    To leave equipment and machinery in a clean condition, reporting any defects to Management immediately.

    To have knowledge of the School’s Health and Safety policy, carrying out duties in a manner that is safe for all.

    To be prepared to undertake work in any area of the School when required by their Line Manager.
