Bus Mechanics. Dublin. Irlanda

Our client, Citi Bus Limited t/a Dublin Coach, based in Brannockstown, Co. Kildare, is currently seeking Bus Mechanics for immediate start at their facility in Dublin 12.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of previous bus mechanic experience required. Mechanic Certification preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required.

General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:

-    To fit, install, maintain, service and repair engines and the mechanical and related equipment of buses

-    To perform routine maintenance and inspections on the bus fleet, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations

-    To detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts

-    To fit, examine, test and service buses and bus engines

-    To replace engine components or complete engines

-    To fit, examine, adjust, dismantle, rebuild and replace defective parts of buses

-    Successful candidates will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of the Company’s bus fleet, ensuring all vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet regulatory standards

-    Essential knowledge includes vehicle diagnostics, and repairing & diagnosing ABS/EBS brake systems

-    Essential knowledge includes Scania Ayat, Mercedes Tourismo and Setra bus types

-    Essential skills include diagnosis and repair of buses

-    Essential

-    The candidate must have experience in installing and adjusting motors, brakes and steering

-    The candidate must have experience in installing, adjusting and servicing mechatronics components of buses

-    The candidate must have knowledge and experience of performing scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes and engine tune-ups, to achieve smooth running of vehicles and compliance with pollution regulations

-    The candidate must be able to reassemble engines and parts after repairs

-    A mechanic qualification or certificate is a bonus but is not mandatory

-    A minimum of 2 years’ of previous relevant experience as a Bus Mechanic is required

Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
