We are looking for an experienced Marine Automation Lead Engineer at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports division, Helsinki. In this position, you will be in technical charge of our Marine automation & Control projects. We value a self-starter, who has sense of ownership and a customer-oriented mindset. Your responsibilities

- Technical responsibility of effectively utilizing the ABB 800xA system to meet the technical requirements and objectives of Marine automation projects, with a focus on Power and Energy Management, Vessel Management, and Emergency Shutdown systems

- Your duties will include factory acceptance tests for automation systems. Additionally, you will participate in the commissioning of these systems

- Developing testing and SW validation process Supporting continuous improvement of project, process, product or system design

- Improving the testing and software validation processes to support continuous improvement in project, process, product, and system design

Your background

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or other relevant field of engineering

- Strong knowledge of control system design principles, including process control, instrumentation, and control loops

- Proficiency in programming languages used for configuring and customizing the ABB 800xA system, such as IEC 61131-3 languages (e.g., Function Block Diagram, Structured Text)

- A deep understanding of the architecture, modules, functions, and capabilities of the ABB 800xA and ability to integrate ABB 800xA systems with other automation systems, devices, and software platforms commonly found in industrial environments

- Strong knowledge of HMIs using ABB 800xA's engineering tools to provide intuitive and efficient visualization of process data

- You enjoy working as part of a team, yet you can make decisions independently. Readiness to travel and fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
