Job Description

This role will be hybrid, working alongside our European offices in Dublin, Belfast, London, Poland and Romania on our core products and major customer solutions. Skytek is looking for an exceptional Accounting Technician with an understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level and looking for an opportunity to grow.

The professional will work as part of a small and agile team of like-minded colleagues and you will be based around Europe. The successful candidate will be integral in maintaining financial accurancy and supporting company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

•    Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including financial statements and management reports;

•    Report financial information to support management decision-making;

•    Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts;

•    Monitor financial performance against the budget, identifying and reporting variances;

•    Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory filings;

•    Manage invoicing and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;

•    Liaise with clients regarding payments and credit limits;

•    Support internal and external audits, providing documentation as needed;

•    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices;

•    Handle bookkeeping tasks and operate financial software, including spreadsheets;

•    Monitor financial transactions and control budgets;

•    Prepare accounts, budgets, and financial statements.

Skills and Qualifications

•    BSc in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).

•    Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly desirable.

•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance and accounting.

•    Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, local regulations, and tax compliance.

•    Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

•    Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools.

•    High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

•    Excellent command of English with exceptional communication skills.
