The Institute of Child Education and Psychology Europe, the leading provider of online Special Education and Psychology Courses for Teachers and Allied Professionals is seeking to recruit an Academic Programme Lead in Special Education with expertise in Chinese/Asian professional engagement to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the academic programme in special education, with a particular focus on Chinese/Asian contexts. The role involves curriculum development, programme management, and fostering relationships with Chinese/Asian professionals within the education sector.

Role requirements:

•    PhD in Psychology or Special Education, or a closely related field.

•    Demonstrated expertise in special education, with a track record of research, publications, or practical experience in the field.

•    Record of international publications in peer-reviewed journals or book publications.

•    Demonstrated success in delivering and teaching (online) and supervising teaching staff within an agreed quality framework.

•    Experienced in academic programme leadership, curriculum development, and assessment processes.

•    Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies, and the ability to leverage them for programme delivery and engagement.

•    Experienced in the teaching, supervision, and pastoral care of students at all levels.

•    Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and support faculty members.

•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and collaborate with Chinese/Asian professionals in education in a culturally sensitive manner.

•    Availability to travel occasionally for conferences, workshops, and relationship-building activities.
