Position Overview:

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our dynamic pig farming team as Supervisors in three key areas - Breeding, Farrowing, and Growers. As a supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing operations within your designated area, contributing to the overall success of our pig farming enterprise.

Positions Available:

1.    Breeding Supervisor:

•    Oversee the breeding program, ensuring optimal reproductive performance.

•    Implement breeding strategies, manage heat detection, and coordinate artificial insemination.

•    Monitor and maintain accurate records of breeding activities.

2.    Farrowing Supervisor:

•    Manage all aspects of the farrowing process, ensuring the health and well-being of sows and piglets.

•    Implement farrowing protocols, conduct health checks, and provide support during labor.

•    Supervise the care of piglets, including vaccinations and record-keeping.

3.    Growers Supervisor:

•    Lead the management of pigs in the growing phase, focusing on optimal growth rates and health.

•    Implement nutrition programs, monitor feed conversion, and oversee environmental conditions.

•    Coordinate routine health checks and interventions as needed.

Responsibilities:

1.    Team Leadership:

•    Lead and supervise a dedicated team within your designated area.

•    Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and effective working environment.

2.    Operational Excellence:

•    Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to achieve production targets.

•    Optimize efficiency, resource utilization, and overall performance within your area of responsibility.

3.    Health and Welfare:

•    Monitor the health and welfare of animals, implementing preventive measures and responding to health challenges promptly.

•    Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high health standards.

4.    Record Keeping:

•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, interventions, and key performance indicators.

•    Input data into the farm management system for analysis.

5.    Communication:

•    Foster effective communication within your team and collaborate with other farm departments.

•    Provide regular updates to Farm Managers on the status of your designated area.

Qualifications:

1.    Proven experience (3+ years) in pig farming with specific expertise in Breeding, Farrowing, or Growers management.

2.    Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

3.    In-depth knowledge of swine management practices, health protocols, and industry best practices.

4.    Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to farm management.

5.    Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. (Fluent English as a first or second language required)
