Mobile Cleaning Supervisor. Irlanda

Location: Limerick based with Nationwide cover

Overall Purpose of the Job

Cleaning Supervisor will join the central Cleaning Department of Apleona (HQ). To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective cleaning service in accordance with contractual obligations and company policy and standards. Oversee cleaning operations across the business with the department to ensure quality, health and safety, service provision, staff training and coordination are handled smoothly. Lead and manage the daily operations on the ground and be responsible for the Cleaning operatives. Liaise closely and professionally with the Contract Managers and client/client representatives in day-to-day operational matters.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure smooth operation of cleaning services in accordance with Service Level Agreement and Service Specification.

- Supervise and assess the quality of cleaning services at client sites, supporting the Cleaning Service Manager.

- Assist in supervising cleaning staff, including workload allocation, progress monitoring, and performance evaluation.

- Support in conducting site cleaning audits and monitoring appropriate use of cleaning materials and equipment.

- Conduct stock checks on equipment and materials and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.

- Coordinate induction and on-the-job training for cleaning staff, ensuring compliance with company practices.

- Maintain full compliance with HSEQ standards and ensure documentation is up-to-date.

- Monitor training progress of cleaning operatives through company internal systems.

- Facilitate Toolbox Talks and maintain competency records as per company policies and procedures.

- Assist in the recruitment of cleaning employees in alignment with company practices

- Organize relief/holiday cover for cleaning staff in coordination with Cleaning Service Manager.

- Authorize, allocate, and record cleaning staff absences

Identify and report breaches and incidents.

- Perform ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned by Cleaning Service Manager.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor

- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols

- Proficiency in MS Office

- Willingness to travel within Ireland to support nationwide cleaning accounts.

- Flexibility required for the role.

Person Specification

- Fluent in English

- Excellent communication skills essential for professional discussion in meetings and for frequent liaison with all contract parties.

- Must have excellent organizational and management skills

- Be an efficient motivator and leader with good problem-solving skills.

- Team player

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Clean and full driving license

Qualifications and Experience

-  BICs training / working knowledge an advantage

- Experience with time management systems for the purpose of payroll verification

- Experience of using cleaning equipment
