MacIntyre is a leading national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. We are looking for a full-time (38 hpw) Senior Support Worker at one of our services in Flitwick, where we provide 24 x 7 support to two young women who have learning disabilities. About the role This is a new service supporting two young women with learning disabilities. They are very active and sociable, with many interests. You will support them to keep up with the activities they enjoy, and need support going to college and school. There is also a need for personal care. As a Senior, you will develop rotas and deputise for the Frontline Manager. You will work closely with the staff team, encouraging them and identifying training needs, whether formal or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection. The rota for this service covers shifts across days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. What we need from you You will need some experience working with vulnerable people, ideally those with learning disabilities. Perhaps you have been a Support Worker or Care Worker and are now looking to step up to a more senior role. You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. It is essential for this position that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, together your own transport which is insured for business use. Part time positions are pro rata, and we pay £35 per sleep-in.
