Risk assessment, tests and project advisor You will join the Mechanical and Physical Approval team of 10. Our focus is to ensure that mechanical and physical safety is built into the design of LEGO® products. After a thorough introduction to conducting mechanical and physical tests and risk assessments, your main mission will be to provide support in projects relating to assessing and introducing new materials in LEGO products. In particular, you will: - Join core project teams that work with assessment and implementation of new materials to contribute your knowledge of the product safety of the new materials - Work closely with our designers and use deep material knowledge and experience as well as consumer feedback to carry out risk assessments and tests on LEGO bricks and models - Support other tasks within the Mechanical Approvals team such as analyses of consumer feedback related to mechanical product safety - Provide support on topics relating to mechanical and physical product safety Quality and caring is at the heart of everything we do Product safety is a top priority in the LEGO Group. Mechanical engineer with knowledge of plastics You will experience a steep learning curve to start with - we all have. So, be ready to ask a lot of questions. We only get better by sharing our findings, so it is critical that you understand the value of collaborating and sharing your insights with your colleagues. To succeed, you also must understand materials and how they perform as well as the importance of mechanical and physical safety of children´s products. Therefore, you: - Most likely have a background in mechanical engineering with hands-on experience - Have basic knowledge of plastics and a good understanding of material properties, preferably polymeric materials - Have experience from systematic data analyses using statistical tools as well as material and/or mechanical testing of products - Are interested in complex projects and systematic work - Communicate effortlessly in English Bringing it to life "You will work in a strong team in a successful global company with an iconic product, making key contributions to ensuring that our products are safe for kids.
