The TopOpt Group (http://www.topopt.dtu.dk), DTU, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Section of Solid Mechanics is looking for a Postdoc for research activities within advanced numerical modeling of nano-photonic problems, parallel computing and topology optimization. The Postdoc will be a part of the VKR Centre of Excellence NATEC-II (NAnophotonics for TErabit Communications) activities based at Department of Fotonik, with collaborating Departments Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and DANCHIP. Responsibilities and tasks The Postdoc will be engaged in research activities within: •Development of efficient and parallel computing codes for nano-photonic systems and multiphysics problems •Development of design approaches for nano-cavity lasers •Development of numerical algorithms for topology optimization Other content of the position, e.g.: •Advising of undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D.-students •Collaborations within DTU and international partners •Research management •Some teaching Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.
