A postdoctoral position is available in the ‘T cells and Cancer’ group headed by Associate Professor Sine Reker Hadrup at the Division of Immunology and Vaccinology, at the Danish Technical University, Veterinary Institute, Frederiksberg. The ‘T cells and Cancer’ group consist currently of 20 people, including of Postdocs, PhD students, Technicians and undergraduate students. The overall aim of the research group is to gain novel insight to T cell recognition of cancer and autoimmune diseases, through use and development of novel technologies. Responsibilities and tasks The postdoc will be responsible for computational analyses of immune interactions, specifically T cell receptor sequencing and characterization. The postdoc will use tools such as MiTCR, ViDJiL, Bowtie2, Barracoda, Mupexi and more. The project is closely related to other ongoing projects in the group, and collaboration and shared responsibility across projects in the research team is expected. The task includes developing an analysis pipeline for single cell TCR sequencing, analysing data generated in the lab and by collaborators, assisting with optimisation of data analysis workflows, preparing results for presentation internally and externally. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. It is important that the applicant has knowledge in statistical programming and high throughput data analysis of biological data, such as DNA and RNA sequencing data, as well as data from high-througput screening of DNA-tagged libraries. Also, the applicant should have an in-depth understanding of and preferably experience with many commonly used laboratory techniques, such as PCR, flow cytometry, cell cultures and more, to aid collaboration and communication within the group. Additionally experience in the field of T cell immunology, cancer biology, tumor immunology and use of MHC-multimers for T cell detection is preferred.
