As Governance and Risk Reporting Manager within the Commercial and Marketing (C&M) Division you will support the embedding and ongoing delivery of effective risk governance and risk reporting, comprising provision of support, advice and guidance on best practice in regulatory and operational risk governance and reporting; development of robust and effective processes and frameworks for the ongoing delivery of management information, dashboards, reporting and analysis relating to the business’ regulatory and operational risks. You’ll be joining Argos Financial Services (AFS) where our aim is to make life better every day for Argos customers. As Governance and Risk Reporting Manager you will: Provide effective support to regulatory risk governance arrangements as required providing specialist input, direction and challenge on the effectiveness of colleagues’ response to and participation in regulatory and operational risk management governance and reporting activities. Own the day to day development and delivery of effective MI and reporting on operational risk management and regulatory compliance (including MI and reporting in support of the oversight of 3rd party outsource partners), Support the assessment and articulation of conduct and customer outcome risk exposures across the Division, offering support to colleagues responsible for the production of relevant and informative MI and reporting. Provide support and direction in AFS-wide regulatory risk governance arrangements Challenge and assure the relevance, robustness and delivery of actions proposed by colleagues in response to issues identified in the course of governance activities and in response to 2nd and 3rd line regulatory and conduct oversight activities. As Governance and Risk Reporting Manager you will have: Experience of working within a conduct risk or compliance function Strong understanding of the FCA’s regulatory approach and principles of good conduct risk management, in the context of a consumer credit or general insurance business, with strong applied knowledge and understanding of CONC, SYSC, ICOBS and DISP Ability to identify material weaknesses in key controls and to propose pragmatic solutions that are sensitive to the wider commercial environment in which the business operates; Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, working at operational levels across the business; Excellent MI & reporting skills with the ability to pull data from a variety of sources and pull into a dashboard What can you expect in return?
