RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE. Border. Irlanda

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our growing business in Newtowncunningham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities:

1.    Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer enquiries, provide product information, and offer recommendations to meet customer needs.

2.    Sales Generation: Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and preferences. Utilise product knowledge to recommend appropriate tile options and complementary products. Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and pricing to close sales and meet sales targets.

3.    Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our tile products, including materials, styles, sizes, and installation techniques. Stay updated on industry trends, new product releases, and competitive offerings to better assist customers and enhance sales opportunities.

4.    Order Processing: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery. Follow up with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any additional requirements.

5.    Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with restocking shelves and displays as needed. Alert management to any discrepancies or low-stock situations to ensure adequate product availability for customers.

6.    Visual Merchandising: Contribute to the visual appeal of the showroom by organizing displays, arranging product samples, and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional displays and seasonal campaigns.

7.    Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including sales associates, interior designers, Architects and installation specialists, to provide comprehensive solutions to customers. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve customer issues, process returns, and address any challenges that may arise.

8.    Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining customer records. Assist in preparing quotes, invoices, and other documentation as required.

Qualifications:

•    Previous sales experience in a retail environment, preferably in the home improvement or building materials industry.

•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

•    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

•    Basic math skills
