1. Indian Food Factory Utrecht BV - The Madras Diaries, Utrecht is immediately looking for 3 Self-Employed Chef-I (M/F). 2. Self-Employed Chef for preparing Indian dishes. 3. Location: Utrecht. 4. Employment contract: Full-time position / 38 hours per week. 5. Salary indication: EUR 2550-3050 gross per month excluding holiday allowance. 6. Employment conditions in accordance with the Hospitality Collective Labor Agreement. - Supervise and prepare dishes. - The quality of products/ingredients to be used has been assessed and (auxiliary) resources have been prepared. - Preparatory work (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.) has been carried out, and then (parts of) dishes have been prepared (simultaneously). - Interim quality checks (doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc.) have been carried out and adjustments/additional dosages have been made where necessary. - Orders have been made ready for delivery (by assistants). - Activities performed in accordance with regulations (HACCP, occupational health and safety, etc.); Inventory and order management - Daily activities were planned, and food and other replenishments were ordered. The ordered items were received, checked, and stored. - The shelf life and hygiene of the inventory were monitored. - Cleanup and cleaning - The work environment and kitchen equipment were cleaned, and waste was removed. - Exceptions/defects were identified, and minor malfunctions were resolved independently if necessary. - Improvement proposals and optimization - The quantities of ingredients and semi-finished products used were checked and accounted for. - Input was provided for the menu, menus, work instructions, etc. to be implemented. - Recipes were developed/adjusted, and any deviations were discussed. Suggestions were incorporated into recipe instructions, etc.
