Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Salary: £25,000 plus shift allowance and bonus OTE £28,000, excellent corporate package and company car Hours: 6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6 Weekly Rotation Warehouse Team Leader The Candidate You will have the following skills, experiences and attributes • Previous experience working as a Warehouse Supervisor / Team Leader or similar. • Experience working in an automotive environment would be beneficial. • Experience working in a time sensitive / JIT facility. • Trusted, effective, transparent leadership is a pre-requisite of this position. • Able to train and develop a large team of operatives. • Ability to put necessary efforts to achieve goals regardless of the amount of unforeseen events or circumstances. • Ability to build and manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, applying appropriate interpersonal skills.

Warehouse Team Leader The Role You will be responsible for distributing, coordinating and monitoring the daily activities of your team by managing resources for optimal productivity and profitability, while ensuring service, quality and health and safety standards.

Duties will include • Ensure that both internal and external customer KPI expectations are met or exceeded. • Manage and monitor the training requirements of the staff to ensure skill levels are adequate to meet the demands to the position to which they are being asked complete. • Provide induction and training for new recruits. • Complete briefing and debriefing of staff daily.

Establish clear and precise instructions to perform operations, setting individual targets and appraising each individual accordingly to set goals. • Coach and mentor appropriate team members to ensure continuous improvement; passing on all expertise and information to teams when needed and solve discrepancies when required. • Ensure staff Start/Finish, break times and absence including sickness are monitored and appropriate actions are taken. • Conduct or be a part of investigations or undertake Disciplinary and/or Grievance hearings • Processes admin management of personnel on site responsible • Acts as a role model by leading by example. • Plans and monitors schedules and suggests changes in organisation to optimise its efficiency. • Plan, manage and control completion of inventory checks. • Manage, monitor and adjust Goods-in and Good-out process to maximise space and operational staff efficiency, to avoid congestion of incoming loads. • Ensure that safe systems of work are adhered to for all activities.

Take remedial action when required standards are not met. • Execute operational and H&S audits on a regular basis The Company Our client is a global logistics business which is one of the top 10 largest companies within its sector.
