About the role

As Financial & ESG Controller you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the corporate development function of the Nofence Group. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. As a key member in the Finance team, you will be responsible for driving important initiatives that will contribute to the long-term success of Nofence.

The main responsibilities for this role will be:

• Participate in the financial (local and Group) periodic reporting across Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition (Purchase to Pay-, Order to Cash- and Record to Report-processes).

• Investor reporting.

• Formalize and implement accounting policies and standards across the Group.

• Project accounting, including responsibility for reporting on Skattefunn and similar grants.

• Participate in preparing and reporting on budget and financial forecasting.

• Participate/lead in continuous business processes and internal controls improvements.

• Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) (including Reporting, Public Relations, and Compliance).

• Finance tickets in CRM tool (HubSpot) for Norway, including cooperation with Nofence's debt collection partners.

• Coordination of the above across Group units.

   

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:

• Relevant Masters degree, or equivalent. Alternatively, applicants with a Bachelor's degree complemented by relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply.

• At least 3-5 years of experience from similar positions and/or audit.

• In-depth understanding of financial reporting and accounting.

• Experience with ESG Reporting and up-to-date knowledge of current developments.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to draw actionable insights. 

• Brilliant communication and presentation skills.

• Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.

About the team

The Finance & Legal department is currently a team of 5 employees with our CFO and Finance & Accounting Manager located in Oslo, and Office Managers in Spain and the UK. For this position we are looking for a candidate that can work from the Oslo office. You will be reporting to our Finance & Accounting Manager David Lyngstad, and you will be working closely with all departments, as well as our external cooperation partners within your areas of responsibility.
