Then you might be the right person to head up the Business Support function for the SVP area ‘Devices & Supply Chain Management’ in Product Supply, Quality & IT (D&S Business Support).

 

About the department

Devices & Supply Chain Management (D&S) is a global organization that spans across the value chain. D&S is responsible for devices and supply chain management across Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT). This includes bringing new devices from R&D into production and launch, working across the global foot print of finished products. D&S is responsible for the supply chain management across all product portfolios and the network of sites. This includes strategic sourcing and raw material supply, planning and distribution as well as management of external manufacturing with contract manufacturers. Moreover, local manufacturing with sites in Russia, Japan, Algeria and Iran is part of the area. This makes the area closely integrated with R&D, Sales and the other parts of PSQIT.

D&S Business Support is responsible for driving both business and financial management across D&S by setting and supporting strategic initiatives complementing our goals within D&S as well as PSQIT. D&S Business Support also sets a strategic direction by leading the entire BS community across the D&S CVP areas towards achieving the D&S ambition through clear priorities, shared direction and close collaboration.

 

The position

As VP of D&S Business Support you are heading up a business-critical function that covers a broad span of activities and processes such as Finance, Strategic Planning, IT,  EHS and the sustainability agenda in D&S including affordability, circularity and diversity in workforce.

You will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda across D&S contributing to defining and setting strategic direction to succeed on both short- and long-term goals. The position enables a great opportunity to impact the strategic direction and performance.

You will be the key person to drive, facilitate and develop the various annual management processes in the SVP area in close collaboration with the SVP and the rest of D&S Management (DSmgmt). You and your function will be the key driver for turning decisions and ideas into reality with all relevant parties of the organization.

You will report to the SVP of D&S and you will be working in a challenging and dynamic environment with a vast number of stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and PSQIT.

 

Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree or similar experience within Business Administration, Finance or similar. You have a proven and successful track record in several complex and business critical senior leadership roles in an international environment.

Taking the lead comes natural to you and you enjoy setting a clear direction and building a positive and strong culture. You can lead through and with others and in a complex stakeholder landscape. You demonstrate and utilize thorough insights into the business and can work strategically to identify and address the drivers of success and development for the business of D&S.

You are a strong communicator and always strive for clear and concise top-down communication both written and oral. You are ambitious with a high level of drive, initiative and persistency. You are result oriented and like to be challenged and you easily identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques drawing on personal experiences and feedback. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.
