These are 2 temporary Trust Doctor posts in Paediatrics Non-Training Service Post to support our current middle grade rota, for 12 months with possibility for extension. Applicants must have achieved competencies at ST2 level in Pediatrics or equivalent. These posts are suitable for applicants with an interest in acute paediatrics. The post holder will be based at University Hospital of North Durham or Darlington Memorial Hospital, working on the middle grade rota covering Paediatric Ward and SCBU unit. He/ she is also expected to help in outpatient clinics. Experience in Neonates and NLS is essential. This is not a recognised training post, however there will be opportunities for training in general Paediatrics and some Pediatric subspecialties within our department. We have a robust departmental teaching programme and you can access regional courses and conferences in North-East England. We support suitable doctors in their application for article 14. The Trust Doctors will work on 1 in 7 rota less than 48 hour week with 1A banding. The post holder will join Specialty Doctors and ST 3 Trainees for on call work as part of the middle grade rota. There are 2 consultants are available for advice during the working weekdays. Both sites have active Postgraduate Centers with a good library facility and are acknowledged for excellence in education. Single accommodation may be available.
