The Role We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing and most innovative companies in the ‘alternative finance’ and FinTech sectors. Please take some time to read our Employee Value Proposition here:  What we would like from you As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Working with the QA Manager, Product Owners, engineers and other stakeholders to draft detailed test cases, ready for automation * Writing high quality automated test scripts that validate the functional and non-functional requirements of software being developed * Contributing heavily to the development of the test automation and Continuous Integration infrastructure * Working closely with your fellow software engineers, during the daily development cycle, to develop high quality, relevant unit tests and integration tests * Creating ‘best practice’ documentation and training materials * Researching automation tools and techniques, creating proofs of concept, and making recommendations to the team It will be great if you are able to demonstrate have the following skills and attributes: * At least one year’s experience of writing automated tests using a recognised test automation toolset or framework * An excellent eye for quality, which you may have previously used in a manual testing role * Organised, structured and thorough * An understanding of modern software engineering concerns and how they apply to testing, such as ‘big data’, APIs and service-first design * You engage with a range of people on both a technical and non-technical level * You are comfortable when presented with code (C# preferred but not required) * A real passion for promoting testing and test automation as a professional software engineering discipline We are building high quality software solutions using the latest in development techniques and software architectures.  We believe in full-team ownership of quality, and as such testing and test automation are given a ‘first class’ status within our team.  We are truly agile, and work hard to translate our ‘DevOps’ mindset into efficient, effective and highly-automated processes.
