Job Summary During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews.

We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet.

We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

This post in based in the IT Operations Systems team within our IT Service.

Reporting to the Senior Technology Officer, you will be involved in supporting and maintaining our councils corporate systems.

You will be playing a pivotal role in developing and improving the council's current systems and infrastructure, providing you with opportunities to grow and develop your skill set and experience.

You will be part of a team that takes end to end responsibility to deliver high quality, efficient and effective service delivery throughout the authority.

You must be highly technical and hands-on, possessing experience with Unix, Oracle, PL/SQL, shell scripting and SQL Server to provide application support and resolve any operational problems quickly to help support, develop and maintain the integrity of internal systems.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about working in a team where quality of service, attention to detail and a willingness to respond positively to new challenges are important. good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
