We are now looking for Technical Safety Engineer to strengthen our organization to support development of our oil discovery offshore Ghana.

Responsibilities and tasks:

Project phase

  • Develop and implement technical safety requirement for subsurface production system with selected suppliers based on Aker Energy and international standards
  • Participate in design and construction phase of FPSO with special attention to technical safety requirement developed by FPSO supplier

Operations phase:

  • Monitor FPSO supplier management of technical safety through regular meetings and audits
  • Act as Technical Authority for subsea production systems safety requirement
  • Act as Company Technical Authority for FPSO safety management system
  • Responsible for ensuring safety management system meets applicable regulations, standards and local legal requirements

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Provide support and advice to the operations team for Technical safety issues
  • Maintain the FPSO Cumulative risk overview and supporting Operational Risk assessments
  • Focal point for design reviews, such as HAZID, HAZOP, Safety assessments, LOPA, QRA, ALARP assessments etc.
  • Review and update the technical safety aspects of the safety case
  • Provide Technical safety support to Process Safety Management initiatives
  • Participate in Incident investigation and Route Case Analysis
  • Provide Technical safety input into the Management of Change process
  • Participates in Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID) reviews
  • Act as Technical Authority for Technical Safety on the FPSO, mooring and subsurface system
