The VP of Strategy & Business Development will drive high priority initiatives as part of a team that supports the Chief Executive Officer.

This team member will support, and independently lead, projects across a variety of topics, in a high visibility role reporting directly to the CEO.

For example, the teammate will be responsible for co-architecting member acquisition and country strategies for our current portfolio of countries and assessing new markets, verticals and targets for ASW’s global expansion.

The primary focus of the business development role is to develop ASW’s value proposition in the Russian-speaking markets across the CIS (e.g.

Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan).

The nature of the role is truly global in scope, including travel from Switzerland to the CIS and other countries.

This is a strategy and business development role with a strong bias to action and accountability, not just thought leadership.

The position interacts across multiple departments and geographies.

The role will facilitate a deep understanding of the business with significant exposure to senior executives and is viewed as a stepping stone towards future leadership opportunities within ASW.

Main Responsibilities The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. • Execution of company strategy for international growth across all markets, in close collaboration with the CEO • Evaluation of opportunities and execution of initiatives that drive core business expansion in the CIS markets • Build-up of transformational business models to drive member acquisition globally • Independent and proactive execution of strategic projects that involve analysis of market dynamics and growth opportunities • Management of dynamic, complex problems involving key stakeholders (e.g.

Chief Revenue Officer, Head of Experience, Head of Finance) • Contribution to creation of key leadership communications, such as presentations for the CEO and Board of Directors • Role modeling of ASW’s values to support the creation of a positive and engaging work environment Minimum qualifications/ competence/ behavior • Minimum 5 years of experience in a renowned top tier management consulting firm (e.g.

BCG, McKinsey, Bain)/ financial institution/ corporate environment with track record of consistently meeting or exceeding expectations • Advanced degree highly desirable, MBA from a top-tier business school preferred • Experience in strategy development with a “consulting toolkit” to be effective in strategy and business development • Prior experience either starting a company or working in a start-up environment • Prior experience managing team members • Native-level English and Russian language skills (ideally mother-tongue in Russian); any other language skills are a plus • Knowledge of or experience in emerging markets preferred • Familiarity with ASW’s services and general interest in connecting people; preferably already an existing member of ASW for 3-5 years • Embodiment of ASW community values (e.g. frequent travel, interest in socializing and meeting new people, interest in luxury industry) • Experience working across different cultures with an international mindset, preferably having lived and worked in other countries • Problem solving skills with ability to structure ambiguous problems, think creatively, generate and test hypotheses • Strong project management skills and attention to detail • Strategic thinker and a doer who gets things done • Inner drive and willingness to go the extra mile • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with gravitas and credibility; experience in and comfort with C-level interactions • High level of integrity and excellent sense of judgement • Ability to travel when required
